I love visiting Sweden, and the weddings I’ve shot there and photographers I’ve met have had a huge influence on my work. The Swedish wedding photography industry produces some fantastic looking work, much brighter than typically Scottish images, with great attention being paid to the look applied to the finished pictures. It’s a style I’ve been slowly introducing to my work, and I keep a close eye on the trends developing there.
One big difference at many Swedish weddings is that more time is often devoted to the bride and groom portraits, which was what happened on Jonte & Ulrika’s day. After arriving at the church together for the ceremony, there was a brief reception outside in the grounds (look out for the designed logo on the guests goody bags), followed by our portrait session in the old town while guest were left to explore the area.
On this wedding I was working alongside long term collaborator, the wonderful Lena Larsson who’s work you can see here
